“I folded 24 origami （paper）cranes during the entire sunset at Maiko Park’s seaside. Instead of measuring with time, I chose a new unit to understand the world.”
At the seaside of Maiko Park, I folded 24 origami cranes across the duration of a single sunset. Rather than watching the clock, I let the cranes become my unit of measurement — each fold a way of staying present, of marking time without naming it.
This work is part of an ongoing practice: choosing paper cranes as an alternative measure of the world.
